My early studies were training myself with art basics. Formal training began by majoring in Fine Art at Southern Seminary College in Buena Vista, Virginia. After college, I traveled throughout Europe and viewed the incredible art I had studied. I thank my parents for this honorarium. This was a wonderful experience for my life lessons. My adult career began with fashion design in Cleveland, Ohio, Los Angeles, California where I met my future husband and then moving to New York and continuing in the fashion design industry. Fine art is my passion. I started applying my skills in painting. In 1972 through 1982, I began doing the outdoor and mall art circuit from Virginia Beach, Virginia to Mystic, Connecticut, onto Newport, Rhode Island and Greenwich Village, New York. I feel this time period is when I grew in my craft and developed my style and skills. The themes of my work at that time were barns, flowers, and landscapes. My subjects at present have more meaning, although my style is similar - with some refinements. It is an ongoing process with art work. I sold well and received my share of awards. I have learned to balance my husband and two children, Erica and Joshua with the work that I love.
I am a dream painter. I'm part of a group of healers who work on self - healing and healing of others through dreams, dreaming for insight, dreaming for vision. I am inspired by my dreams - my visions - and I paint them. Circumstances have put amazing people in my path. There has been a synchronous happening through spiritual studies and my paintings. I trust that I am always open to learning in many areas and to be intuitive about what rings true for me. There is much we can learn and heal about ourselves and pass on to others, if we listen to what comes through our hearts. Art is an inner active experience for the artist and the viewer. I paint what I learn while walking, pausing and dreaming along the Medicine Wheel path. I trust that you will feel and enjoy the images I have painted.
